Lets Play House 3

Its finally here!!

Brooklyn’s Let’s Play House keeps building momentum with its second release of 2012. This time, label heads Jacques Renault, Nik Mercer, and James Friedman have teamed up with a pair of artists shrouded in mystery—the Dead Rose Music Company—to put out an EP featuring four songs that confound definition…

The Four Songs EP is a collection of tracks that aim to be cinematic in their production approach: these are epic mixes meant to stand the test of time, fueled by huge drops, warm, syrupy bass lines, and ear-tickling effects. While the four songs are technically edits, Dead Rose have left their inimitable fingerprints all over them. Each tune has the air and ambiance of a groove you got into at a party, but can’t remember fully the morning after; they’re visceral and almost dreamy, like the jumbled recollections of last night’s disco fading in and out of strobe-lit smoke on the dancefloor.

MOCHI001 is here

The DEAD ROSE MUSIC COMPANY/TOMAS MALO – May Contain Samples EP (Taikomochi)

The ever so mysterious and hotly tipped disco troupe Dead Rose Music Company herald a new stage in their budding production careers with the launch of their own Taikomochi Records imprint. Arriving on white vinyl pressed ultra loud, their debut release proffers two cuts from the DRMC personal archives and offers further insight into the budding production career of Tomas Malo. Being the boss, naturally Dead Rose occupy the A Side of May Contain Samples with the housier bump of “Feels Good” impressing in particular. Complementing this is the sleekness of Malo’s two productions with the subaqueous electro boogie of “We’re Gonna Make It” matching his more feted companions. Vinyl fetishists will also glean some joy in the fact the centre labels have actually been pressed onto the record.

Forthcoming gigs & releases

Word up from TDRMC. its been a busy couple of weeks with finishing tracks, sorting gigs, playing gigs and just generally been immersed in 808’s.

Firstly we have a gig on Saturday 6th November at Deep which is hosting a night at The Bulls Head in Birmingham. We have another gig that night at a secret venue which promises to be a hoot and those that join us at the Bulls Head will be the ones to be invited.

Secondly, its all about the beats. We have sent off the masters for press of the forthcoming release on Kolour Ltd with Mr Cole Medina. The World Is In An Uproar has gone for mastering for the release on House Is This Cure alongside The Revenge.

Thirdly, Our track on E.A.R has been pressed and we are just waiting for the wax to cool down before it gets unleashed on the world. The Rob Mello mix is sick, dope and everything you would expect from the legend that is Mr Mello.

Taikomochi is getting ready to launch the new EP which has 2 TDRMC joints and 2 lo slung grooves on the flip by Tomas Malo of The Weirdo Police.

Dont forget that “Just A Bitter Love” is now back in stock at Juno and Piccadilly. After 4 weeks its still in the Juno best sellers chart and was at number 1 on the disco chart for 2 weeks. get it here. http://www.juno.co.uk/artists/Dead+Rose+Music+Company/
